Your Graduate Year

The first 12 months of your employment as a graduate nurse or midwife has been described of one of great excitement, anticipation and achievement.  It has also been described as a time of relentless learning, tiredness and lifestyle adjustment.  Graduates have found that their first 3 months is very busy with new learning opportunities occuring every day.  By 6 months into their graduate year, common practices have been identified and personal preferences for practice and learning enable a smoother path for the graduate.  Eating healthily,  achieving quality sleep  and doing regular exercise are essential for your well being.  Be sure to include those into your work life.
